USTA Junior Team Tennis
This is a fun, competitive, team environment for juniors ages 6-18. Teams are co-ed and matches consist of singles and doubles.
This season, we're excited to announce an enhanced Junior Tennis Team (JTT) experience for our CHTC juniors! To elevate our juniors' skills and enjoyment, we will have our junior program coaches from the weekly clinics at the matches providing coaching. This setup allows our coaches to closely observe and support the kids as they practice and play, resulting in a more personalized and effective coaching and playing experience.
To participate on a CHTC JTT team:
· Register on Court Reserve for the appropriate age. Please note that 12u is divided into green dot and yellow ball. Registration ends on 8/23

· After registering on Court Reserve, Coach William and Coach David will divide the players into the appropriate levels (beginner, intermediate, or advanced). You will then be given a USTA JTT team # to register for on the USTA site. The USTA charges a league fee (usually around $20).
· There will be an additional $25 fee charged to your CHTC account which will include: coaching guaranteed at all home matches, a team shirt, and an end-of-season party
o Our goal is to staff as many away matches as possible, but this will depend on the location and time of those matches as we may have multiple teams playing simultaneously at different locations. Once the match schedules are released, we will work towards assigning coaches for those away matches.
· All participants wishing to play on a CHTC JTT team must attend a junior program clinic at least 1/week (exceptions will be made to juniors currently participating during the weekday in school tennis).
o These clinics will improve their game and foster camaraderie among the juniors, allowing them to practice together and prepare for their matches as a team.
· If space is available on teams, non-members involved in our junior program can participate (additional $25 fee for season)
2024 Fall JTT League Info:
Matches start on 9/13 and run through 11/2 (6 weeks of play, 2 extra weeks for make-up matches)
Age/division options:
· 8u and 10u – Play is on Friday evenings, usually around 6:30 pm
· 12u, 14u, 18u (beginner, intermediate, advanced) – Play is on Saturdays, match times range from morning to early afternoon
